I am very happy to announce the release of my new single, DRIFT - Piscean Daydreams Rework, and would like to extend a huge thank you to Michael D. Tidwell and Suseti for this amazing opportunity to re-imagine the track from their recent EP, Glow.
It just so happened that Michael and I were completing separate collaboration albums with Suseti when we came up with the idea to rework this song. This was my first foray into the remix/rework world and I am glad I pursued this opportunity. It was extremely rewarding and I love the finished product.
I ended up going in a radically different direction with the song, so as to put my unique stamp on it. I was really attracted to the underlying part that was composed by Suseti, especially the angelic-like vocalizations, and wanted to bring those forward in the mix to showcase them a bit more. Once this was achieved, I added some additional pads to complement Michael’s, and field recordings of static and old radio broadcasts to give the entire composition an otherworldly feel.
